KidsLibrary UK Limited, a new business offering a toy and book rental service for babies and pre-schoolers, launched this week.
KidsLibrary gives expatriates the convenience and comfort of toys and books from leading educational brands, targeted to their child's age group, and delivered directly to their door.
The business aims to help today's busy expatriates prioritise time spent playing and reading with their children over time spent searching for the right toys and books, and offers an alternative to buying new toys and books.
KidsLibrary only stocks leading educational brands that support learning through play and is partnering with recognised suppliers of quality children's toys and books, including Macmillan Children's Book, Usborne Books, Walker, Penguin, BRIO, TOLO Toys, Plan Toys, Early Learning Centre and Manhattan Toy.
KidsLibrary is launching with Jack Boxes, suitable for babies aged 3 months plus, 6 months plus and 9 months plus, and will add new Jack Boxes on a rolling basis suitable for children aged 0-2 years within 12 months, and ultimately 0-5 years.
For a monthly subscription of £44.99 parents receive a Jack Box which they can keep for two months or more containing 10 toys and 10 books; a mix of the latest and old favourites. When their child is ready for some new challenges, the Jack Box will be collected and replaced with a new Jack Box containing a new selection of toys and books suitable for their child's next stage of development.
Said co-founder Vicky Whiter, "Essentially, KidsLibrary is a LOVEFiLM or Netflix for toys and books, delivering the pick of the world's toys and books direct to your door giving you time to play and learn with your child at each stage of their development."
KidsLibrary will be delivering its first Jack Boxes in March and is offering a 20% discount to customers who pre-order their first Jack Box before the 1st March 2012.
